11-digit mobile phone number is coming soon. Trai is seeking the public opinion. TRAI is seeking public opinion to increase the number of mobile phone numbers from 10 to 11. TRAI hopes to bring in an 11-digit number instead of the current 10-digit number, so that telecoms can be seen as an option to accommodate telecoms. Growing population, and by 2050 the country is estimated to need 2.6 billion mobile numbers.

The government has launched 13-digit number series for the machine-to-machine communication and the things of internet. However, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) estimates that the country will need more than 2.6 billion figures by 2050. As such, it is one of the options to address the growing demand for telecommunication connections.

Using the 10 digits 9,8 and 7, it is possible to use 210 crore mobile numbers. Excluding the current number, an additional 260 crore mobile numbers will be required by 2050. Troy needs to be brought to a new number to meet the rapidly growing mobile market demand and TRAI has taken steps to shape public opinion.

According to a United Nations report, by 2027, India will surpass China as the world's most populous country. Despite having 70 percent of the resources consumed, TRAI says 4.68 billion will be enough to supply mobile phones that work in this country by 2050. Therefore, TRAI is considering an 11-digit number plan for mobile.

The usage of mobile users is increasing day by day and this is becoming a problem as most people have more than one number. Therefore, the need for more mobile numbers has arisen. TRAI is currently reviewing the opportunity and options on this. Prior to 1993 and 2003, TRAI revised the numbering system in the country. In 2003, the number revision operation brought in 75 crore phone numbers.
